| Natdata Ltd has more than 20 years experience in the IT industry. When Setting your IT system up from scratch, often we can save you between 30% and 100% of our fee! How can we do this? Essentially its simple, we are not wedded to any specific software vendor and we have a wealth of experience in Open Source Software. This means we can blend a solution from many offerings (some of which are even voluntary donation funded), so we can pick the right blend of technologies and software to get you the functionality you need at the lowest price possible. In addition our consultancy charges are very competitive, You aren't paying any more because we are one of the very few chartered status IT firms! Here's a free example that will save you money on your home PC's right now (this software is not for business use!) Free anti virus Software that we believe out performs Norton or Macafee anti-virus, called AVG. Click here and download it, it's completely free. We can supply the business version of this program (together with other software) that completely replaces Norton or Macafee Internet Security Suite and save you approx 50% on the costs of either! We are certain it offers better protection too! Case Study 1. A local Independant Financial advisor had been trying to get a Customer relationship managment system set up to improve their customer managment. They knew that a bespoke system was beyond them financially, so they called in an IT company that sold them a system based on a lotus database. The idea was that the company would then tweak it to satisfy their requirements. 6 Months in the system still was not up to scratch, did not satisfy their real needs and was costing them in charges for every hour the IT company spent on modifications. In desperation they called in Natdata Ltd to advise. We looked at Natdata project managing the changes to attempt to get the project on track, but it became clear they had lost all confidence in the existing company. We analysed their requirements and advised that an OpenSource product called SugarCRM could be easily modified to satisfy the vast majority of their needs. The old system was also running on one of the user PC's so they asked if we could provide and install a server to help improve security and accessibility. Natdata Supplied the Server, Installed SugarCRM, customised the software and re-set up their network and the total bill came to less than £2000. Far less than they had already spent with the existing company! Over the coming months we supported them and tweaked the software for them as they gained experience in using it and they are very happy with the result. Case Study 2. A local storage company had had its fingers burnt on several occasions, by "so-called" IT specialists that had helped them set up their office systems. Their requirements for our work were simple. They wanted to be able to remote view their CCTV camera system from home and wanted a more reliable host for their existing website. We supplied and set up two broadband connections, one at home and one at the office, we supplied a business grade network router and configured it to allow remote access to the CCTV recorder. We tested the system and whilst we were in the office we connected their secondary PC up to the router which enabled that machine to access the Internet too. We set up remote support and remote access to the main PC from home so that they could work from home on occasion and the total bill came to under £900. Apparently a previous engineer had attempted to set up a shared network connection and had abandoned it as a bad job! Case Study 3. A local Accountancy firm was growing rapidly. Their IT systems had been cobbled together over time by the founder of the company and had served a purpose, but it was becoming increasingly apparent to them that they needed specialist help, a more reliable network and increased data security. A local company had quoted them nearly £10,000 for a Microsoft Small Business Server and to replace their PC's and network infrastructure, networked scanning and printing etc. Another customer of ours recommended they talk to Natdata Ltd first. We analysed their requirements and looked at their current systems. We advised them that two of their existing PC's could be easily upgraded and that three others would not need replacing. Only 1 PC was in need of replacment and that was because it had a serious fault that made it more economical to replace rather than repair and upgrade. We supplied a Linux based SME Server and set it up to act as their email server, web server, local network server and to control their system security. We used mirrored hard drives so that it kept two copies of their data (for better data security) and we set up remote email and file access so the partners could work from home. We set up an online backup facility so that a copy of the data could be kept offsite without them having to worry about doing backups and we rebuilt their network. The total costs came to £3600 and they now have a very stable and efficient system that will meet their needs in the years to come.
